intu.co.uk is our digital shopping platform attracting over 28m annual customer visits. Rated a top ten affiliate site in the UK, it's home to nearly 500 of the UK’s most popular retailers, who are able to showcase and sell their products with us and access new customers.
Through a calendar of regular creative campaigns, from Valentine's Day to Christmas, we work with retailers to increase and enhance brand or product exposure through a range of bespoke packages.
Our packages include responsive website exposure, hub page sponsorship opportunities, email marketing, wifi takeover, promotional offers, social media amplification and bespoke editorial campaigns through our digital magazine, Shop Insider.
Shop Insider, reveals the inside track to all things shopping through inspirational, entertaining and informative content that drives brand awareness and commerce for our retailers and brands.
We're the only UK nationwide shopping centre landlord to offer this, and as well as increasing visibility and footfall, our platform adds millions of pounds of revenue to our participating retailers – including over £25m per month in gift card sales alone. A leading department store brand asked intu to support their clearance sale. So we created a multichannel campaign with targeted emails to four shopping centres’ databases and the intu.co.uk subscriber list, as well as a wifi takeover to ensure that customers logging on to wifi would see featured messaging. Over 23 days, there were 1.26 million targeted content impressions, an email open rate of 22 per cent and a wifi takeover click-through rate of 0.6 per cent. Participating centres saw footfall up from 19 to 26 per cent during the campaign.

Retailers can buy promotional space on our dedicated brand emails, sent weekly to 2.8 million subscribers, inspiring them to visit their local centre.
They can also purchase social media campaigns to promote their hottest products, making the most of our huge social media presence with over 780,000 followers.
Meanwhile the intu wayfinding app can be used to give customers personalised location-based, real-time offers at their fingertips, as well as more general information about the retailers in our centres.

With over 2 million visits a month, intu.co.uk is already a top-ten affiliate website and traffic continues to grow, increasing by over 30 per cent in 2015 on the previous year.
All customers’ digital interactions are turned into valuable data, allowing retailers to create unrivalled online and in-centre relationships with shoppers.

All of our shopping centres have free wifi. And the number of registrations to hop on it while out shopping has already topped 2.5 million and continues to grow, 60 per cent of customers registering also opt to receive marketing emails filled with offers and promotions from our participating retail partners.
Meanwhile, customers who are short of time can shop at home on intu.co.uk, then pop along to an intu centre’s Click & Collect points to collect their purchases, or opt for home delivery.

A steady stream of exciting aspirational content is a must in this age of social media, with content-hungry millennials wanting to share, show and discuss products and purchases, telling friends and family what they’ve bought or would love to buy.
