Anchored by Debenhams, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer and Primark, the centre is south east England’s favourite shopping destination. Since it opened in 1990 it has always been ahead of trends in shopping. It was the first to welcome now well-known brands such as Five Guys, Boux Avenue and Taco Bell. And now it’s home to intu’s first customer lounge, where shoppers can find everything they need while you take a break from the hustle and bustle of the centre outside.
But it doesn’t stop there. With the new £150 million leisure extension that starts this year, we’re planning on giving our customers even more to enjoy.

Victoria’s Secret dials up the glamour at intu Lakeside
One of the world’s most glamorous brands, Victoria’s Secret, joined intu Lakeside in late 2015. The new 11,000 sq ft store is situated in a prime location on the upper mall, adjacent to other top international retailers including MAC, Hugo Boss, Tag Heuer, Goldsmiths Boutique, Hamleys and recently opened, Kurt Geiger.

Since it opened in 1990 intu Lakeside has benefitted from many upgrade projects, the most recent being the opening of the new food court in 2014.
We're just about to start on a new £95 million leisure development, which will create 225,000 sq ft of cafes, restaurants and new leisure activities to attract yet more customers.
The first phase of this has seen us announce our partnership with The Parques Reunidos Group (PRG), one of the leading, fastest-growing leisure park operators in the world, to bring to life the Nickelodeon brand at intu Lakeside.
Through this partnership we will create a 50,000 sq ft Nickelodeon family entertainment center at intu Lakeside, which will anchor the new 225,000 sq ft leisure development, set for completion by late 2018.
We’re excited to be able to bring together the best-in-class family entertainment concept and combine this with an established shopping and dining destination to create an experience that is unmatched in the UK today.

This exciting new leisure development is set to create the very best all-encompassing shopping and leisure experience in Greater London, and will see intu curate a new and compelling experience that will last from early morning to late evening.
The leisure extension will be seamlessly integrated into the existing centre and sit alongside an established leisure area already home to a full format Vue. Bearing the hallmarks of the intu brand, the development is the next phase of the intu Lakeside master plan.

The beach at intu Lakeside
There's no need to go to Southend for the beach this summer, intu Lakeside brought the coast to Thurrock!
During the summer, intu Lakeside hosted an amazing Beach event where customers were invited to enjoy everything the seaside has to offer, including a massive 1,600m² sandy beach and a 21metre paddling pool!
For those more thrill-seeking customers, then the exciting range of rides and attractions fit the bill, as well as family favourites that ensured the summer vibes kept flowing!
