intu Lakeside adds even more aspirational brands to its retail mix

intu is adding two exciting new names to its growing portfolio of aspirational retail brands at intu Lakeside, with The North Face and GANT opening new stores this year.

The North Face, renowned for its high-performance climbing gear and backpacking equipment, is opening its third store within intu’s portfolio and will occupy 2,500 sq ft space. International clothing brand GANT is signing up for 1,900 sq ft space as part of its plans to expand across the UK. Both retailers will join other aspirational brands at intu Lakeside including Victoria’s Secret and Hugo Boss.

The North Face and GANT are the latest retailers to tap into intu Lakeside’s affluent customer base, with 72 per cent of shoppers drawn from the most affluent ABC1 social-economic group across the south east. The brands will be particularly attractive to 54 per cent of intu Lakeside’s customers who are aged between 16-44 years old.

intu is beginning works to deliver its Nickelodeon-themed family entertainment centre which will bring additional leisure and catering brands to intu Lakeside, increasing the catchment and dwell times of the centre. Hollywood Bowl and other leisure attractions along with 11 new restaurants will further enhance this family-orientated extension.
